Club Projects

Here are the other 2 club projects. The first uses the chalkboard technique and pretty much CASES Beate's card, but of course, mine doesn't look as good. :)

The second is a pattern I found on SCS and uses Summer Picnic DSP, dye-cut Blooms and build a brad. It was a fun, but simple project for my group.

Fish Cards

Here are some more cards for my husband, he was so excited when I got the fly fishing set, it was actually one of the first ones I bought. I saw it and just had to have it! I have actually used it quite a bit, mostly for stuff for him though. :)

Ingredients:

CS: Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Wild Wasabi and some random fish paper I found at the scrapbook store

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi

Accessories: brads

More Firsts

I had some more firsts this past week and it seems that every week I have at least one big "first" in the stamping world. Man, there is alot going on! My first first, was our first meeting with my upline and I guess sidelines. It was a fun time and we did a small swap, which leads me to my second first. You guessed it, my first SWAP! It was so much fun! I made this card for the swap and I hope everyone liked it. I was fairly intimidated and wanted to do something somewhat easy but super cute! I really liked how it turned out.

Ingredients:

Stamp: Bronc Buster
Paper: Wanted DSP, River Rock and Blue Bayou CS
Ink: Ruby Red and Blue Bayou
Accessories: Brads

This next card is for my third first which is my very first club meeting of my very first club! YEAH!!! I have 6 ladies coming over on Wednesday, all of which are either close friends or family, but they are having a great time stamping and just want some more ideas and a chance to get together. So, we started a club! I am looking forward to having everyone over and we are going to make 3 projects. This one below, one with the chalkboard technique and I am still trying to figure out the third. I'm sure I will update you as soon as I figure that one out! :)

Ingredients:

CS: Whisper White, Basic Gray and Orchid Oppulence
Ink: Lovely Lilac, Orchid Oppulence, Old Olive and Garden Green, whisper white, basic gray
Accessories: ribbon

Administrative Professionals Day

Wednesday is administrative Professionals Day and I needed to make some cards for my husband. It was fun coming up with 7 different cards to give to 7 different ladies whom I have never met. Here are 5 of them as I am not quite finished with the others. :)

New Handbag

My friend Genevieve of Genevieve Designs is a fabulous handbag designer and this is my most recent purchase. I have about 10 of her bags and it's always a big decision of which one I am going to use. I am more of a seasonal bag carrier and get one bag for the season and use it regardless of what I am wearing. I just LOVE the colors and funness (is that a word?) of this bag and she really nailed it for me! Check out her site here to find YOUR bag! :) If you don't see the fabric you like send her an email and she'll find something for you! :) This bag is "The Keri"! I have a bag named after me! Isn't that AWESOME! Thanks Gen!!!!!! Happy shopping ladies!

7 Things Game

I was tagged my "Milk Allergy Mom" for the 7 things game. Thanks :)

7 Things Game

The Rules for 7 Things:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So, here are my 7 things:

1. This is my very first time being tagged!!!

2. I have been married for just over one year, 3/31 is my anniversary.

3. I cannot roll my tongue

4. I am in sales/marketing and have been with my current employer for almost 4 years

5. I graduated from San Francisco State after moving to San Francisco "temporarily" and then finally moved back to the Sacramento area after 10 years! Yeah, temporarily huh? :)

6. I am the youngest of four siblings, my parents are still married (40+ years) and have 12 nieces/nephews!

7. I have 4 close friends that are pregnant right now and 2 others that had a baby with the past month! Which means I have alot of crocheting to do, as one is preggers with twins!!!!

WHEW! That was tough!!! hahahaha

Now, here is who I am tagging:

2. Sheila: Sheila's Creative Spot

3. Melissa: Spicerack Cards

5. Judy: Joy in a Jar

6. Jamie: Stamp This

7. Stampin'GHmom

Birthdays

The previous card (for the sketch challenge) and this card are for my niece and nephew's birthdays. I also made my neice some cute note cards, jumbo paperclip and altered a pencil box. She's 13 and loves all things paper! My nephew on the other hand, could care less about note cards unless they are addressed to him and contain cash! He's 8 this year and hopefully still likes Spider Man, as he's getting a new Spider Man beach towel. I know he at least needs a new towel, so at least he will get some use out of it. :) His card is Real Red base w/Tempting Turquoise. I wheeled Tempting Turquoise Classic Stars and used my star punch on a couple of them. It was a fun card to make and since there is no cash in the card, my nephew probably won't care about it, my sister will appreciate it and save it. :) Gotta love sisters! :)

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge

Ok, this is another couple of firsts, my first challenge, sketch or otherwise AND my first square card! This one is from Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge.I kept it really simple as I think the flower is enough. :) The DSP is from SU's hostess gift, ribbon is from SU and the flower I crocheted myself (inexpensive and easy accessory).

P.S. Sorry for the crooked photo, I don't really have an excuse other than a crooked head. :)

Check out this one too!

Here is another fun site and if you go quickly, she has some blog candy today! :)

Amazing Cards

I finally mounted and used my "Pretty Amazing" set that I have had for a couple of weeks. It is such a pretty set and I knew I wanted to use the hummingbird, as we just hung ours this past weekend. So, I picked my colors and got to work. The top card is my favorite of the three and I just keep looking at it! hahahaha

Ingredients:

Stamps: Pretty Amazing (SU)

Cardstock: SU! Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, River Rock, Very Vanilla

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy

Accessories: brads, hardware, punches and ribbon. Flower is not Stampin' Up, but I have no idea who makes it, so I can't give them credit.

Workshop Projects

I have my very first workshop this weekend at my sister's house. I will know almost everybody there and am sort of feeling nervous excitement at this point. I do have 2 of my projects all done and ready to go and am still trying to figure out the third.

Anniversary Card

Monday was my 1 year anniversary and I wanted to make a fabulous card for my husband. My favorite new set is "Always" and I have been dying to use real red and bashful blue together so I got my stamp set, card stock and stampin' pads out and ready to go. I didn't really have

any ideas when I started working, but I knew I wanted a photo and the red sash on my dress worked out really well with my color scheme. I really like the way everything came together and was proud to give my hubby his card! Happy Anniversary Baby!
