Playing catch up!

I have been pretty behind in getting some cards out, but I feel it's better late than never when it comes to a card. Sure, it's late, but who doesn't love getting a card! This is a sympathy card for my husband's cousin who lost her grandmother recently. I don't have any "sympathy" sets, so I used the "heartfelt" sentiment from SU's "Heartfelt Thanks". It's as close as I could come......

The next card is a Thank You card for my friend in Mexico, we had a great couple of days together when she was in town and she is always so very thoughtful and generous that I wanted to send her a card. Hopefully it makes it to her, as the post in Mexico is not very reliable......Maybe she checks my blog and will see her thank you card and then can at least know that the thought was there. Lindsay, if you're reading this, thank you! :)

My husband's aunt just celebrated her birthday last week as well, and since we were out in our new tent trailer, I didn't get a card made for her; and no, I didn't have any birthday cards lying around either, so this will go out in the mail on Monday, with some photos of the tent trailer as a good excuse of being so late! Happy Birthday Cindy! :)

New Toy

Nope, this post has nothing to do with stamping, crocheting or crafting in any way. It's quite the opposite and something that has been keeping from my crafting room (spare room if you ask my husband). :) But, we got a new tent trailer and took it out for the first time this week! We have been wanting one for some time and searched endlessy on craigslist and the want ads and finally gave up and bought a brand new one!!!! We absolute LOVE it! We had a great time camping, hiking and fishing (my husband did at least) over the weekend and are ready to go out again, at least when the weather clears up!

Baby Shower Stuff....

I feel like every week of every month I have some sort of gift to give. This one was for a baby shower for friend of mine. I LOVE to crochet as well as make cards, so luckily I don't have to go shopping and pick something off a registry. I got my new "She's All That" set from SU! and went to work on the card. Of course, I wanted everything to match, so I used Real Red, Close to Cocoa and River Rock on the card as well as some ribbon and hodge podge hardware. I had a lot of fun with the card and wrapping paper. I also crocheted the flower to match the blanket.

This is the sock monkey hat and blanket that I absolutely adore! When I have kids, I am going to make them one of these because I just think they are the cutest. I got the pattern from Debbie Stoller's book "The Happy Hooker" yes, that's what it's called and it's from the "Stitch 'N Bitch" collection! Don't ya just love it! :) There were lots of oooh's and aaah's at the shower, so I can only assume it was a big hit! Thanks Stitch 'N Bitch! :)

Chocolate Favors

I saw these on another website awhile ago and printed the instructions. Unfortunatel, I am not sure to whom the credit goes! But, I thought they were super cute and made quite a few of them! I wish I had found them before I got married last year, they would have made GREAT wedding favors! They are 3.25" square and hold a square of Gharardeli chocolate! YUMMY!
